Herb cultivation, orchards, alluvial forest - our company site is pretty green.

New trainees already get to know Salus before their official first day of training as they are traditionally invited to a company tour before the job trainings start on 1rst September. Also this year the future trainees and their parents were provided with a first insight. This is how the trainees can familiarise with the job and already meet the colleagues. Especially while having coffee and cake in the organic canteen "Salusteria", parents, trainees and trainers get to talk. Thus, the start of the job training in autumn is much easier.
The team of the Salus alluvial forest biotope will be supported by a young person in the context of her voluntary ecological year (FÖJ). Her tasks will be tours for kindergarten groups, clubs and school classes, showing them this treasure of nature.
The training of young people is very important at Salus. There are many interesting projects for the trainees. In a patch in the Salus herb garden they plant herbs and vegetables and they also obtain the "herb certificate". This is an expertise test about medicaments available in retail and the trainees learn together at an alpine hut. At the chamber of commerce they also obtain a qualification to be an "energy scout". This newly acquired knowledge about energy saving possibilities can be put into practice directly at the company. Every 6 months the trainees write about their experiences in the company magazine "Salus Bladl", which is very popular amongst all Salus employees.
