The jury was particularly impressed by the graphic design of the Salus Group's sustainability report, ‘which provides a quick overview of environmentally relevant company information’. Additionally, numerous individual contributions of various stakeholders shed light on the sustainability topic from different perspectives. The contributions from the employees give a personal and authentic perspective to the predominantly fact and figure-based report.
Report in self-direction - from data collection to texts and design
The Salus Group's sustainability team developed and produced the report under their own steam. The entire process, from data collection to the concept and graphic design, was in the hands of the company's employees. This emphasises the high level of authenticity and commitment to sustainability issues. These characteristics were particularly praised during the Salus Group's first ‘We Impact’ certification in Germany.
Valuable recognition in Vienna
At the environmental management conference in Vienna, Christoph Hofstetter, head of sustainability management and Michael Steidl, sustainability officer of the Salus Group, accepted the award in person. They commented proudly: “The topics we can report on are most important. The fact that our report, as a product, is itself worthy of an award represents, of course, a nice recognition for all the employees of the Salus Group who are behind this content.”
Salus remains on course in terms of sustainability
With the environmental management award, the Salus Group is consolidating its role as a pioneer in the field of environmental and sustainability management. The company has been EMAS certified for over 25 years and consequently focusses on sustainability, climate protection and the conservation of resources. The new sustainability report impressively reflects this attitude and shows how important an authentic commitment is in order to successfully realise sustainability goals in the long term.
