Floradix^® Iron for children was developed for the normal mental development of children. It is based on our well-established product Floradix^® .
Floradix^® Iron for children safeguards the supply of bivalent iron already with normal need.
Apart from glucose, every body cell also needs oxygen to produce energy. The hemoglobin in the red blood cells, which contains iron, absorbs oxygen in the lungs and transports it to the cells with the blood circulation. Growing children need iron to build the blood pigment hemoglobin for oxygen transport.

Children and adolescents can have an increased need of iron during growth phases. Side-effects of growth can be tiredness, reduced concentration and a lack of energy. Especially girls can develop an increased need of iron after their first menstruation.

Also in times of high mental challenges iron supports the normal, vital cognitive development.
